The Vivint Arena, home of the Utah Jazz, hosted the 2023 NBA All-Star Saturday Night competitions that showcased outstanding shooting, skills, and thunderous dunks. Mac McClung, who recently inked a two-way deal with the Philadelphia 76ers, dominated the dunk contest with three perfect 50-score dunks, clinching the trophy.
Mac McClung, a 6'2" guard hailing from Gate City, Virginia, had a brief NBA stint, playing two games with the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers in the 2021-22 season. McClung went undrafted in 2021 after playing for two seasons at Georgetown and one at Texas Tech.
McClung signed an Exhibit-10 contract with the Philadelphia 76ers for the 2022-23 season, following his release from a non-guaranteed contract by the Golden State Warriors in early October, after the preseason.
As the first G League player to participate in the 2023 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, McClung made history by winning the contest, becoming the first Sixer to do so. McClung was the eighth Sixer to compete in the event and the first since Andre Iguodala in 2006.
Below are Mac McClung's dunks from Saturday night's contest.
